Can I get this quickly?
Yes! E-Deal vouchers are delivered within about 15 minutes via email. You'll also receive a printable voucher so you can put it in a card to give in person. It's a fast Father's Day gift.
My parents aren't tech-savvy. Is this too hard for them?
Not at all. They just need to complete the checkout process, and input their payment details and address for shipping. The box they'll receive includes very straightforward instructions of how to pack up their old media and a prepaid UPS shipping label to get it back to us. They'll receive an email when their media is digitized with access to the Legacybox Cloud. It is designed to be simple, making it an easy gift for parents or grandparents.
Why is this a good gift for someone who has everything?
Because it's not just more "stuff," it's personal, it's memories. Digitizing their old home movies gives them back their past, making it a unique gift they will actually cherish and the perfect sentimental gift for that special someone.
I don't know how many items I have. What size should I buy?
The 10 or 20-item kit is a safe bet. If they want to digitize more media than the kit covers, we include extra labels for them to add more media to be digitized at a small additional charge per item.
What exactly can they put in the box?
Almost anything! VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, Video8, MiniDV, Betamax, DVDs, MiniDVDs, 8mm film, Super8 film, 16mm film, photos, slides, and negatives. See the full list of formats here.
Do they have to use it right away?
Because they are tied to specific promotional pricing for the box sizes, E-Deal vouchers should be used within 90 days of purchase. If used after 90 days, the voucher will be redeemed for the amount paid, but the pricing of the box size is not guaranteed to remain the same.
Is it safe to send our only copies?
Yes. We have digitized memories for over 1.5 million families. We use safety barcodes, real-time tracking, and a climate-controlled facility to keep every item secure. UPS Shipping Protection can also be added for an additional small fee at checkout.
