It’s time for some spooky season fun!! What better way to celebrate than hosting a fun Halloween dinner party! So, what are some must haves to make sure you have the best spooky dinner party ever? No worries, we have the list ready for you below…

Decor

Let’s get your house ready for the spooky Halloween dinner! Here are some fun ideas you can do to your home:

  • Spider webs all over (inside and outside of your house)
  • Table decor of skulls
  • Spiders on the table!
  • Pumpkins everywhere! Small and large pumpkins throughout the home
  • Fog machine (creates the right spooky atmosphere)
  • Red Rum painted on a mirror!
  • Bowls of candy corn in every corner

These are just some ideas to get your imagination going!

Spooky food

With a great party comes great snack foods. Have some “finger foods” where pigs and a blanket look like a finger, the punch has floating eyeballs (grapes), and red jello shots to represent blood! Here are some other fun food ideas too!

Playlist

Can’t have a party without music! Get a playlist going for your guests to jam out to. Here are a few songs to spark your playlist:

"Thriller" by Michael Jackson

"Ghostbusters" by Ray Parker Jr.

"Monster Mash" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett

"(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult

"Highway to Hell" by AC/DC

"This Is Halloween" by The Citizens of Halloween

Scary Movies

While you’re enjoying your meal and listening to music, put on a scary movie in the background! Have the movie on mute so that it won’t interrupt any conversation, but definitely have it play for some fun halloween content! Some fun movies to play:

  • Nightmare before Christmas
  • Hocus Pocus
  • Halloween Town

Costume Contest

Have your guests come dressed to the nines in halloween costumes! And have it be a contest! If you have a fun prize (like a gift card or a candy basket) people will definitely dress up! Have each person strut their stuff and explain their look. Then have each guest vote for one person as the best costume for the night. You cannot vote for yourself! Whoever has the most votes wins! And if you have a tie...make the two do something funny. Like best dance moves during a song. It’s going to be great and you’ll have lots of laughs!
