Looking for the next best thing to decorate your home? How about transferring your special memories on to wood? This DIY is fun, creative and is a great way to preserve your memories. Plus, this is a great craft to organize / declutter your mass amounts of pictures. Transferring precious images onto wood may seem a little daunting, but no worries, it's easy! Here's what you'll need:

  1. Wood Canvas (of any size)
  2. 2 Painting Brushes
  3. Mod Podge
  4. Glue
  5. Printed version of your image
Let's begin!

Step 1

Print off a copied version of your selected photo. Set the printing settings to match the size of the canvas if you wish for the image to entirely cover your canvas space.

Step 2

Paint glue over the entire surface of the wooden canvas. Then, place your printed image face down onto the glued canvas. Rub smooth to ensure there are zero bubbles or wrinkles on the paper. Let dry over night.

Step 3

Once dry, get a wet cloth and dampen the image/canvas. Slowly start to peel away the wet paper to see your transferred image.

Step 4

Once all paper residue is off, cover with a layer of Mod Podge. Let dry and voila! You now have a beautiful image transferred onto your wooden canvas.
