No worries! We'd love to help digitize ALL the media in your collection. We include extra safety item barcodes with every Legacybox in case you have more media you'd like digitized. If you do send in more items, we'll simply invoice you for these items once we check in your order at our processing facility.
Digitizing your analog media by hand is more of an art than a science, so while we can estimate processing times, it varies depending on your order's size and the type of media you send in, in addition to current demand. At this time, Standard Processing takes around 10-12 weeks. We also offer expedited options at checkout if you need your order back faster.
Every order includes regular status updates throughout the process in addition to access to a personal concierge to answer all your questions.

There are no longer many ways to playback these home videos and for that reason some people feel that their family memories have been erased.

If you’re still hanging on to home videos from back in the 90s, chances are they are VHS video cassette tapes, the most prolific format from the RCA and Sony camcorder era. The videotapes measure one inch thick, seven inches wide, and four inches tall (the size of a stapler or a small book).
After a brief battle with Betamax for home recording and viewing supremacy in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the VHS (Video Home System) videocassette tape became the premier home video recording and viewing format through the end of the 20th century. The novelty and affordability of capturing memories on hand-held camcorders and watching them back on VCRs led to practically every home in America slowly amassing stacks of VHS tapes.
