Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and while you and your partner love each other every day of the year, there is something special about V-day that makes celebrating love so wonderful.

The romance and butterflies that come on a day like Valentine’s Day bring out the feelings you felt the first time you laid eyes on each other, making your love feel new and young again.
The best way to spend Valentine’s Day and reignite the spark in your relationship is to take a weekend trip to a relaxing place with your soulmate. Show your love how much they mean to you by booking a trip to one of the most romantic places on Earth!

If you’re looking for the best getaway, look no further. We’ve gathered some of the most charming and beautiful cities for the perfect Valentine’s weekend destination so you and your partner can relax in a peaceful, gorgeous location while celebrating the day of love together.

Charleston, South Carolina

Do cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, and gorgeous, Southern-style bed-and-breakfasts say romance to you? Then Charleston is the place to go. Charleston is the perfect mix of classic Southern living and a beach town. The gorgeous sunny skies pair well with the antebellum architecture and the sandy beaches. The palms that line streets of the French Quarter and the Battery remind you that you are, in fact, in paradise. Opt to stay at the Inn at Middleton Place for a cozy, modern feel or the Planter’s Inn for a more traditional Southern experience. Take your lover to the famed Angel Oak and have a romantic picnic under its branches. Hop in a carriage and experience the city as you might have one hundred years ago. End your evenings with a stroll on Sullivan’s Island and see the prettiest sunset imaginable. Charleston has everything you need for a romantic, Valentine’s getaway.

Aspen, Colorado

Known as a ski-resort town, there is much more to Aspen than meets the eye, and if you and your lover are adventurers, then this might be the destination for you this Valentine’s Day. The mountains call out to all those willing to traverse them in their snow-capped beauty, and you and your partner may be the next to come and visit their majesty. Lodge at the Annabelle Inn for a mountain cabin stay, or for a more contemporary feel choose the Hotel Jerome. During the day, take a walk downtown and shop in some of the high-end boutiques there. Visit the Aspen Art Museum to appreciate some modern art. If you and your partner are up for it, get on a ski lift and see the beautiful countryside, or get on a snowsuit and glide down the mountains on a pair of skis. Whatever you love to do together, Aspen has you covered.

Fernandina Beach, Florida

In Florida’s Nassau County, Fernandina Beach sits and waits for you and your partner to come and experience the charm and romance it has to offer. Amelia Island’s 13 miles of beautiful beaches and clear water are the perfect spot for a sweet moment between the two of you, and Fernandina’s downtown boutique district is a great place to shop till you both drop. Check out Fort Clinch State Park to get great views and a history lesson about the area, and finish your day with a trip to the Marlin and Barrel Distillery. For a unique, classy lodging experience stay at the Amelia Schoolhouse Inn,

or choose a beachside retreat like the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge.

Savannah, Georgia

Savannah’s gorgeous oak trees covered with Spanish moss and its picturesque beaches call travelers worldwide each year to come and bask in the romance that fills the air in the Georgia town. You and your special someone can stroll along the Chippewa Square and take a seat on the famed Forrest Gump bench surrounded by beautiful oaks. Don’t miss the sunset on Tybee island, a peaceful, jaw-dropping experience. You can end your nights out on the town in one of Savannah’s many bars, one of the most notable being the Olde Pink House. Stay at the Hamilton-Turner Inn for a high-end, relaxing vibe in a traditional Southern mansion or choose the River Street Inn for a modern, industrial look.

Sedona, Arizona

Sitting atop a magnificent red rock scenery lies Sedona, Arizona, one of the most romantic cities in the U.S. This city’s gorgeous cobblestone walkways and stucco buildings covered in vines and greenery will transport you to the countryside of Tuscany in the middle of the American West. If you and your partner decide to travel here for Valentine’s weekend, make sure you take a hike in the awe-inspiring Red Rocks State Park or drive along the Red Rock Scenic Byway if you’re looking to relax. Visit the beautiful Chapel of the Holy Cross to get an excellent viewpoint of the Sedona scenery. Walk through the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village and bring home a one-of-a-kind souvenir. Go for a wine tasting on the Verde Valley Wine Trail. If you’re looking for unique lodging that fits the Sedona aesthetic, stay at the Sunset Chateau Bed and Breakfast, or go for the Junipine Resort for a romantic, forest getaway.

Would you book a vacation to any of these cities? We know we would! Each of the above locations is known for being a destination for romance, and it’s easy to see why with all the beauty and charm they hold. Whichever city you choose to visit with your partner, make sure you take lots of photos and videos during the weekend so you can always look back and remember the special time you had together. Happy Valentine’s Day!
